We have now been in the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo for 6 whole days! What a fabulous experience! Our days are filled with meetings, classes, firesides, role playing, and food! In the evenings we are working with our language tutor to learn Spanish. One evening we spent the whole time contacting younger missionaries and meeting them so we could practice our Spanish. Last night, our tutor blindfolded Dad and I had to give him directions in Spanish and we walked all around the grounds. We had fun but wow, were we beat!
There are about 25 couples just like us who have been called to serve in all parts of the U.S. and world, i.e. Cambodia, Croatia, Spain (Canary Islands), South Africa, Mexico, Ireland, Germany, Russia, Oregon, New Jersey, etc. It's been a highlight getting to know everyone.
And Dad's mouth is finally getting better. He went again to the dentist on Thursday and got an antibiotic (he forgot to give Dad a prescription). This morning, Dad finally woke up not hurting as bad.
Today has been our preparation day. We went to the temple, went to the store, cleaned the room, and took Ben and Kelsey and the kids out to dinner. It was great to get their hugs tonight.
What in store for next week---CES Training & PEF Training.
